Park Gyu-young Appears on UK Talk Show “The One Show”, Impresses with Fluent English
Actress Park Gyu-young made a notable appearance on the popular British TV talk show “The One Show”, broadcast on BBC One on June 20 (local time).
“The One Show” is a widely viewed and respected talk show in the UK. Park was invited as a guest ahead of the global release of Netflix’s highly anticipated “Squid Game” Season 3. During the show, the cast and hosts discussed the factors behind the series’ global success and what to expect in the upcoming season.
When asked about joining the “Squid Game” universe, Park shared, “What excited me the most was getting to play one of the most iconic roles in the series — a Pink Guard. At first, I felt a lot of pressure, but over time, I truly came to enjoy portraying the character ‘No-eul’.”
Regarding the on-set atmosphere between the contestants and Pink Guard actors, she said, “We would often joke around with each other, but once filming started, everyone fully immersed themselves in the scene. It felt real, and the tension was intense.”
Park also expressed pride in the global popularity of Korean content. “Koreans feel proud of how successful ‘Squid Game’ has become internationally. I believe Korean content and culture will continue to succeed around the world,” she added.
Throughout the interview, Park impressed viewers with her calm demeanor, warm smile and fluent English, smoothly navigating the entire conversation in a second language.
Meanwhile, “Squid Game” Season 3, featuring Park Gyu-young, is scheduled for release on Netflix on June 27.
